I am passionate about being a therapist: Meeting people for the first time who are often feeling overwhelmed and powerless in their own lives and listening to their past experiences and present day behaviours, working together to better understand what brought them to this point. Watching as they grow, comprehending what serves them and what does not.
No matter how many times I see the extraordinary healing and growth happen in my clients, watching them make life longed-for changes, it never ceases to impress upon me the value and importance of taking on this journey with them.
I trained and worked as a Samaritan for many years, talking with beautiful people in deep crisis which inspired me to study to be an integrative psychotherapist, attaining the BACP qualification having previously gained a fine art degree from Central St Martins and also qualifying to teach. After working for the wonderful Headstrong Counselling organisation for nearly three years I started my own private practice. I am an accredited member of the BACP membership number 00950097
I am married with three grown-up daughters and having grown up myself surrounded by multi-generational trauma and dysfunction had decided when my children were born that the buck would stop with me and I have been on my own journey of self awareness and growth ever since.
Having experienced many of the challenges my clients are faced with I have the utmost respect and compassion for everyone with the determination to move forward towards something better than they have now.
My practice is in Teddington (TW11) and have many clients from the surrounding areas of Twickenham, Richmond, Kingston and Hampton but also many from outside the area. I provide in-person or online sessions.
I am a cis woman who identifies as pansexual and I use the pronouns she/her.
